Evacuations

Dutch nationals in a foreign country are in danger, the local Dutch embassy or consulate will advise and assist them.

Depending on the seriousness of the situation, the mission will:

• inform the local Dutch community about the imminent crisis and recommend precautionary measures;
• advise and assist the Dutch community to remove partners, children and other Dutch nationals whose presence is not required to safer locations;
• advise and assist remaining members of the Dutch community to go to special assembly points, where their safety can be better assured;
• advise and assist remaining members of the Dutch community if the local situation becomes so serious that they too have to leave the country (evacuation).
